Alejandro Monares Claros Jr., a.k.a BenteDos, performed his fourth single "Bakas ng Kalye" on Spotlight Music Sessions.

On August 27, online music show Spotlight Music Sessions featured hip-hop artist and 12th PMPC Star Awards for Music nominee Alejandro Monares Claros Jr., a.k.a BenteDos, as he shared his insights through his original composition "Bakas ng Kalye."

The 31-year-old artist shared his life through his fourth single "Bakas ng Kalye."

"Ika nga nila, maraming kwento 'pag laking kalye ka," said the Negros Occidental native as he reflects on the meaning behind his song.

"Lahat tayo may kanya-kanyang istorya ng buhay, iba ibang suliranin ngunit isa lang ang lahat ng ating mithiin, 'yun ay ang marating ang tagumpay," he added.

Last August 20, BenteDos also performed his debut song "Kapit sa Patalim." In his debut single, he pays tribute to the journey and grievances of the struggling Filipino, his affinity for underdogs and outsiders.

BenteDos started writing music when he was 16 years old while working as a crew for local band Cueshe. He shared that his approach to the rap game was inspired by his friend and collaborator, Raymund Marasigan, one of the most well-respected mainstays of the Philippine rock band scene.
