Cate Blanchett and props

Actress Cate Blanchett shows off some of the props that she kept from movies like 'The Hobbit' and 'Thor: Ragnarok.'

Australian actress Cate Blanchett revealed that she has kept some props from movies like 'The Hobbit' and 'Thor: Ragnarok' which she showed off on a remote interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Because she knows that Colbert is such a huge Tolkien enthusiast, she wanted to show him a few of the props she has kept from the Lord of the Rings film series but was unable to find her elf ears.

However, she has kept a pair of prop blades from The Hobbit film series where she reprised her role as the elf Galadriel.

"Some people stock toilet paper, but I got these," she says.

The blades belong to the character Tauriel, a woodland elf played by Canadian actress Evangeline Lilly.

"Actually, you did not see those. Don't speak to Evangeline Lilly anytime soon," she jokes.

Blanchett also revealed that she has kept mjolnir, Thor's hammer from the film Thor: Ragnarok where she played Hela.

Blanchett is one of the millions of people who are under quarantine at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
