Summer may be over, but there are still tons of other fun activities that you can do with your family in this rainy season.

The scorching season of summer has finally bid goodbye and the monsoon weather has officially said hello.

And just because the rainy season has finally arrived, this doesn't mean we can no longer travel.

So for those people who are still dreaming to continue their #travelgoals this season, fret not because there are other interesting spots and activities in the Philippines that are best visited and done during this time of the year.

Go kayaking

Rainy season entails higher water levels giving wild water sports like rafting and kayaking stronger currents and wilder rapids.

If you're an adventure junkie, make your way to Tibiao Rivers in Antique to experience your much-needed adrenaline rush.

Museum hopping

Recount our country's history and celebrate our culture and heritage by visiting a few museums in your area.

For Manila-based travelers, you can always go to the National Museum of the Philippines which is open from Tuesdays to Sundays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free!

You can also go to the Ayala Museum, Yuchengco Museum, The Mind Museum, and the Metropolitan Museum of Manila.

Indoor wall climbing

The wet weather also means that you can practice your rock climbing skills. It's fun and it's cheap. So go indoor climbing at Camp Sandugo in Market!Market!, B Fitness Station and Power Up Center for Climbing and Fitness in Quezon City, and Wall-Nut MISA Climbing Systems in Antipolo.

Staycation

If you can't get over the bed weather, why not do a staycation?

Enjoy the facilities and amenities of the hotel of your choice by killing time at the swimming pool or relaxing at the in-house spa. Staycation simply means a whole day or relaxation!
