Is Gabbi Garcia feeling pressured to perform well as the new Taiwan Tourism Ambassador?
Gabbi Garcia recently achieved a new career milestone in the form of being named as the first Filipina Taiwan Tourism Ambassador.

In an intimate press conference held after Gabbi's ambassadorial launch, GMANetwork.com had the chance to chat a bit with her mother, Tes Lopez, to ask her how she feels about her daughter's new title.
According to Tes, "Just like any parent, sobrang nakaka-proud, 'di ba? Of all the young artists ngayon, isa talagang honor na nakuha si Gabbi as an ambassador sa Taiwan for the Philippines."
Tes also shared that Gabbi being a tourism ambassador is a wish come true for her and her daughter.
"Actually, since Gabbi likes to travel a lot, wini-wish ko na sana in time, ma-notice siya ng other countries to represent their country.
"Ngayon nga na dumating, talagang wish come true for her kasi since bata pa 'yan she loves traveling.
"Sa kaniya kasi, traveling is knowledge. This is a big opportunity for her to know the culture of other countries like Taiwan," she said.
As for Gabbi, she believes that being a tourism ambassador will open up a lot of doors for her, still, she understands the weight and importance of her new title. "Every project is a challenge and I feel like this is extra challenging kasi hindi lang isang tao, buong bansa 'yung responsibility mo. But I'm just enjoying it so far."
However, despite the challenges, Tes believes that her daughter can handle all of it.
"'Yun nga 'yung sinabi namin sa kaniya, hindi lang 'yan ambassador or ano. Madami siyang responsibilities to do and dapat she knows what she's doing. She represents Taiwan din 'eh, in a way. She should be a good example. Feeling ko naman and I'm confident knowing Gabbi, kaya naman."
