Heart Evangelista shares her advice for ladies looking for "The Right One."
Heart Evangelista was invited as a celebrity guest speaker for Cosmo BEAUTYCON 2019 to talk about anything and everything under the sun.
One of the topics Heart talked about was love and relationships and a member of the audience asked some advice for ladies looking for Mr. Right.
According to Heart, "It's really hard. You really have to go through so much for you to realize of course it all starts with yourself, knowing your worth, ganyan.
"But it's okay change a little, give a little, adjust a little but you cannot change your core because it's non-negotiable.
"Somewhere down the road, maybe it be five years after you've realized 'Oh my God, eto ako.' It's not that you've wasted so much time but in a way, you kind of missed the train to go to your next destination. You delayed too much."
She also went into detail about the changes you just cannot make for your partner.
"There are things you cannot [change], what are those? Maybe the things that make you feel alive, the things that you love to do, your passion, your work.
"I don't think it's right that somebody would tell you, 'Okay you're working too much, you have no time for me.' Hindi ganoon 'yon 'eh, that person is selfish and you have to be selfless also when you're in a relationship.
"Don't let anybody stop you from dreaming. I know life can get hard even when you have a family, madaming priorities. Maglalaba ka, andami mong aasikasuhin, hahatid mo si ganito, andami.
"But then, at the end of the day, you cannot forget yourself. You have to be with somebody that will set you free but still be there with you. Somebody that will actually help you fly and dream with you and you would do the same for that person," Heart said.
Lastly, Heart talked briefly about how she knew that her husband, Sen. Chiz Escudero, is her Mr. Right. "I never really had a bad ex-boyfriend. Actually all my ex-boyfriends were really nice.
"It's just when I met my husband, he would just give me a greater feeling. It had to be greater for me to say, 'Okay he's the one.'
"You just actually know. He makes you a better person but if that's not it, get out of it. Don't waste your time."
