Jessica Soho also shared stories about her life and goals that she is yet to accomplish.
Jessica Soho returned the favor to new Kapuso Bea Alonzo, this time appearing on the latter's popular vlog on YouTube.
Bea appeared on Jessica's hit news magazine show Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS) last Sunday, July 4, earning good reviews and impressive ratings.
During the episode, Bea shared with Jessica stories about her life and gave the KMJS team a tour of her farm in Zambales.
The bonding moments between Bea and Jessica didn't stop there.
As we see in Bea's latest vlog, the award-winning journalist gamely revealed her culinary side to the actress and her viewers.
“Ito 'yong nagpapa-happy sa akin during the pandemic or during the lockdown. High school pa lang ako mahilig na kong gumawa ng jam. I started with tomato jam. It was actually taught to us by our home economics teachers,” shared Jessica.
The mangoes that Jessica used for her jam were straight from the farmers in Zambales.
Jessica shared some tidbits about her life while preparing her specialty jam.
“Mahilig akong magluto. Marunong naman akong magluto ng Chinese food kasi I'm one-fourth Chinese and then my grandfather was a Chinese chef. Siyempre Ilocano tsaka mga lola ko tinuruan din ako,” Jessica mentioned.
Beyond the kitchen, Jessica revealed that she wants to someday focus on giving back to the community and helping more people.
“I want to help sana in small ways,” said Jessica.
“I think na itong pandemic na 'to is the perfect opportunity… kasi naaawa tayo pero hanggang ganun na lang ba? We have to do something.”
She added, “Sabi rin ng Panginoon, help you brother in need. So if I want to have another career maybe it's towards that.”
Jessica also wants to give back to her school, the University of the Philippines, by teaching aspiring journalists and media practitioners.
“I promised my alma mater, ang College of Mass Communications sa UP, that maybe I should teach one semester,” said Jessica.
“Natatakot lang kasi ako magturo sa mga bata dahil sa social media. Baka 'pag may napagalitan ako, Diyos ko. Iniisip ko pang mabuti.”
