In the third episodes of her podcast 'Shot of Sanity,' Kapuso host Joyce Pring discussed with radio DJ-turned-sportscaster Aaron Atayde their favorite and must-watch documentaries, TV series, and movies.

Their must-watch documentaries include The Kingmaker and Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez.

The Kingmaker is a documentary film revolving around Imelda Marcos and how the Marcos family rehabilitate their image.

For Aaron, he liked The Kingmaker because it provides an unbiased opinion on the former first family.

“The Kingmaker is the story of Imelda Marcos and they parallel the, I guess, the life of Ferdinand Marcos with the life of Bongbong Marcos with Imelda Marcos being the centerpiece of it,” Aaron shared.

“It was amazing how they showed the parallelisms with both and how Imelda was the centerpiece of it all, trying to make everything work in the utmost way.

“But the way that I think that it was so cool, and the way that I appreciated it was it was told from an outsider perspective kasi.”

For Joyce, she binge-watched Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez'because of the story. The show discusses the life of convicted murderer and former professional American football player Aaron Hernandez.

“It was really well made. A lot of great insights there,” Joyce explained why she liked the show.

“Malalim din siya. It's very heavy, too. But I got fascinated with it because not only did I learn about Aaron Hernandez, I also learn about the NFL, and how these things work.”
