Every parent knows that it is important to spend time with their children - not just when they're kids, but also during their teenage years.

Time spent together with them will not only help build family-related memories but it's also something that they can share with their own kids when they're all grown up.

Spending time with kids is not only about helping them with their homework or making sure they did their chores; it could be simple yet fun stuff that you can do together as a unit.

Here, we've gathered a few ideas for you with the help of our Kapuso celebrity moms and dads.

Cooking and baking

Kapuso moms Marian Rivera and Iya Villania love to get their kids involved in baking and prepping their meals. For one, it gets them to help out in the kitchen. And although it may start out as a chore, they will eventually start to learn how to help without being asked. Plus, it's a great opportunity for them to learn how to cook and bake!

Sing songs

Vic Sotto and Pauleen Luna's baby loves to sing songs whenever her parents are at home. Baby Tali's favorite track? Singing the alphabet song! This is also a great activity with the kids if you're in the car or on a long drive. Alternatively, you could also make it a fun dancing activity.

Play games

Like her mommy Camille Prats, baby Nala loves to dance and play games with her older brother Nathan. This is a great way for your kid to interact with other children as well as learn how to be competitive without being a sore loser. Do it a few times per session or play different games while you're at it.

Coloring

Summer classes has begun! ☀️ Instead of spending time infront of gadgets which is a no no, we prefer to have them socialize with other kids ☺️ Nala had so much fun!

Another idea is to do some coloring with your kids to make them seem more interested in what they create. It's also a great activity to have a chat, ask about their day, and why they love certain colors. Similarly, coloring is a great therapeutic activity for adults.
