The son of PBA Legend Benjie Paras accepted the Nebraska-based University’s basketball program.

Kapuso basketball superstar Kobe Paras is living his dream as he will play for Creighton Bluejays men’s basketball team.

The six-foot-six-inches tall 18-year-old broadcasted on Facebook, “I’m happy to announce that I’ll be attending Creighton University. I’m happy to be part of this awesome community [and] I can’t wait to be there. I can’t wait to be wearing that jersey.”

The son of PBA Legend Benjie Paras accepted the Nebraska-based University’s basketball program for its familial connection between his teammates and coaches.

He told Unang Hirit, “Right here, it’s not coach and players, it’s more [like] family. My teammates, they can be my brothers and the coaches, I can talk to them like my parents.”

The young Paras also poured out his feelings towards his rejection from the UCLA Bruins men’s basketball, “It’s been a crazy month. I had dreams that were crushed.”

But, it didn’t let him down since he received an overwhelming number of invitations from other colleges. He said, “I’m happy that there are a lot of coaches that hit me up after the incident, and I felt really loved. It’s crazy that I saw there’s just not one school out there for me. There are a lot of school I could choose, but I [found] the perfect fit and [it’s] being a Bluejays.”

Creighton Bluejays produced NBA players Kyle Korver of the Atlanta Hawks and Doug McDermott of Chicago Bulls who is the son of Greg McDermott, the basketball head coach of the university.
