Pinaakyat ni Mommy Kris ang kanyang panganay na si Josh Aquino dahil ayaw niya marinig ni Kuya ang kanyang sasabihin, “I was scared because it was wrong that time. I was unmarried and I knew Lola would be so unhappy. I think I was not prepared [because] I was too young.”

Matatandaang nabuntis ang aktres ng kanyang ka-live-in partner noon na si Philip Salvador. "I have to say this now na iyon ang unfair because of the circumstances and because of the circumstances of Kuya’s birth. That was the only time na natiis po ako ng mom ko.”

One month old pa lang daw si Josh noon noong naglakas-loob si Kris na dalhin ang kanyang baby sa kanyang ina, “I think that’s why Lola really treated Kuya so special because alam niya that the child didn’t have to pay for the mother’s sins. They had that special bond, and I just really feel so bad that you missed out on that kasi iba talaga ang may lola. I think more than a mom, kasi for a lola, you can do no wrong.”

Noong 2005 naman ay ikinasal si Kris sa kanyang ex-husband na si James Yap at kasunod na taon ay ipinagbuntis niya si Bimby.

“When we found out [I was] pregnant with you, it was so different because the whole Philippines was so excited that you were coming,” kuwento ng queen mother sa kanyang bunso na akala nila noon ay baby girl.
