Mars Pa More host Kuya Kim Atienza recently went to the U.S. for a quick holiday vacation to be with his son, Jose, who's studying at the prestigious Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts.

During his brief stay in the U.S., which lasted only for two days, Kuya Kim toured the small town of Medford, which is only 10 minutes away from Boston City.

Tufts University, one of the oldest universities in the U.S. is located in Medford, so Kuya Kim's son took him on a tour around his school and neighborhood.

In a recent episode of Mars Pa More, Kuya Kim showed some videos of his tour of Medford.

As Kuya Kim showed footage of himself walking in the streets of Medford, his co-host Camille Prats, whom he calls UBB, noticed right away that there weren't many people outside.

The Kapuso host explained that it was because the temperature that time was around 0 and 1 degree Celsius.

“Ang temperature is 0 to 1 degree. Pero 'pag humangin, nagiging -4, nagiging -5. So, I had to bring my winter clothes, etc. But most people are indoors,” Kuya Kim said.

Kuya Kim also showed some clips of the Mystic River, which is located just right beside Tufts University.

He noted that in the U.S. there are usually sitting areas near beautiful views.

The Mars Pa More host said he also went cycling with his son during his brief stay in Massachusetts, and that he saw a lot of wild animals outside despite the cold weather like geese, wild ducks, and swans.

He also gave a glimpse of the Boston Marathon markers that he saw on the street.

Kuya Kim said although his recent U.S. trip was tiring, it was worth it as he was able to spend Christmas with his son.

“'Yung jetlag ko hindi na nawala. Parang napuyat lang ako ng dalawang araw. I had to be there kasi on the 25th to be with my son, dahil I spent Christmas with him,” Kuya Kim told Camille. “And then inuwi ko na siya nung 27, 28 dito. So, pag-uwi namin, (nag) quarantine and he's home now.”

(My jetlag didn't go away. It's like I was sleep-deprived for two days. I had to be there on the 25th to be with my son, 'cause I spent Christmas with him,” Kuya Kim told Camille. “And then I brought him home 27, 28 here. So, when we arrived, we quarantined and he's home now.”)
