Lance Cody dropped a live performance of "Live It Up."
On October 22, online music show Spotlight Music Sessions featured Lance Cody as he performed his song "Live It Up." It is the fourth track in his upcoming EP titled Stages that will be released in November.
"The story behind 'Live It Up' is what I've been through in my past relationships. Basically it's just a sum of it all. So it's not just particularly one girl," said the 22-year-old singer as he reflects on the meaning behind his song.
"I came up with the idea for it when I decided that I wanted to make the EP into some sort of storytelling," he added.
According to Lance, Stages is all about the stages of a relationship. "From meeting up with someone, being in love with someone, to breaking up, and finally moving on."
Lance also shared what inspired him to venture into music, from being a DJ to becoming a record producer.
"Music for me has really been a love of mine ever since I was young. When I was around 14 years old I wanted to become a DJ. I took it professionally when I turned 18."
"But then I had a gig where I realized that everything was just on repeat for me and it was getting boring. So I thought then 'Why don't I make my own songs and play in my gigs?' Since then, I made a decision to venture into producing and writing songs," said Lance.
Since 2019, Lance has already released several singles on Spotify including "People," "Wait," "Done," "Ride," and "Perfect Recipe."
Last October 15, Lance also performed his song "People" on Spotlight Music Sessions.
