How does Mikee Quintos express her real self online?
With over a million followers in all her social media accounts combined, Mikee Quintos's online presence is growing stronger by the day.

When Mikee was invited to be a guest speaker for Cosmo BEAUTYCON 2019, she was given the chance to talk about being real and staying real on social media --a growing problem for online influencers and publications where everything can be manipulated with the tap of a finger.
Firstly, Mikee was asked how she decides what to post on her social media accounts.
According to her, "With me, I don't really have this set of rules na 'Dito lang boundaries ko.' and everything. I do it on a post-by-post basis.
"I just check right before I press post that 'Will this post invite negative comments or will my audience be compelled to comment bad stuff about this post or not?'
"You just have to protect yourself at one point. Like before, I can say like a few years ago, wala talaga akong pake, I post what I want to."
"As much as possible, I keep it on a personal level.
"Sinabi ko 'to sa fans ko even before na if they praise me or they comment good stuff, I want them to see the real me.
"Because it doesn't feel real din if they compliment you but everything you post is fake.
"So as much as possible, you just show the real you, express yourself, and just don't be scared."
Mikee also shared a tip on which of her Instagram posts garner the most engagement for the aspiring influencer.
"I'm sure you guys are aware 'yung mga insights part ng Instagram, 'di ba? You can see the stats, you can see what your followers like, you can see kung saan sila mas nag-ko-comment, saan 'yung mas may engagement and all.
"I realized, in my own experience, people like the post na may face. Usually 'di ba siyempre, you wanna curate your feed and everything. Kailangan may mga pampaganda ng feed 'to na mga photos. Hindi masyadong nila-like 'yon.
"They like beauty photos. [For] Videos mas gusto nila when you explain stuff, tutorials, very patok 'yon lalo na sa beauty industry," she said.
