Tila homecoming ang nararamdaman ni Miss Universe 1993 Dayanara Torres sa kanyang pagbabalik sa Pilipinas para mag-judge sa gaganaping 65th Miss Universe sa January 30.
Sa panayam ni Dayanara sa 24 Oras, mapapansing hindi pa rin nakalimutan ng beauty queen na magsalita sa ating wika.
Bahagi niya, “Masaya, masaya akong nakabalik dito sa Pilipinas. Oh my God. Really, it feels like home.”

Aniya, “When I’m here [I’d like to meet] just everyone I had the pleasure to work with, you know, from Cesar Montano, you know Ruby Rodriguez, Martin Nievera, Pops (Fernandez), Ariel (Rivera), you know the Maneuvers.”
Ikatlong pagkakataon na ni Dayanara na mag-judge sa prestihiyonsg pageant.
Kuwento niya, “It’s fun. It’s definitely less nerve-wracking ‘coz you’re not the one standing on stage. We’re only judging. But hopefully, you know, we find the perfect girl for the job.”
Excited daw siyang makilala si reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach. Meron din siyang paalala sa mga kandidatang susunod sa kanilang yapak.
“I’m looking forward to meeting her for the first time actually. To the contestants, just be yourself. You know, like I said it is a beauty pageant but your personality is the one that will show. That night, it will be magical,” sambit ng beauty queen.
Kasabay ni Dayanara dumating sa Pilipinas ang kanyang fellow Miss Universe judge na si Cynthia Bailey mula sa ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta.’
Bahagi ni Cynthia, “What am I looking for? I’m looking for a beautiful, intelligent, classy young lady to represent Miss Universe.”
