Ipinakilala na ang official candidates ng Miss World Philippines 2017 at kabilang rito ang Kapuso star nating si Wyn Marquez na dati nang sumabak sa Binibining Pilipinas 2015.

Hindi man nanalo sa naturang pageant ang aktres, humakot naman siya ng special awards at nakarating sa top 15. Sa pagsabak ngayon ni Wyn sa Miss World Philippines pageant, confident niyang sinabi na iuuwi niya ang korona.

“I [want to] win. I think lahat ng girls na sumali, gustong manalo. Siyempre, that’s my aim: to win. Whatever God’s plan is, I’ll accept, but I’m here to win,” saad niya sa Balitanghali.

Na-shortlist rin si Binibining Pilipinas 2014 1st Runner-Up at UAAP courtside reporter na si Laura Lehmann.

“That’s what makes pageant so nice, actually, because you’re with girls who are from different backgrounds so we have sports players, we have people na galing sa ibang bansa [at] galing sa ibang probinsya. At the end of the day, whether you win or lose, you make friends so it’s always a good experience [that] you get to meet so many people,” bahagi ng first-time Miss World Philippines contestant.

Sumunod naman si Hazel Ann Reyes sa yapak ng kanyang ateng si Daisy Reyes na dating pambato natin sa Miss World 1996.

Todo suporta siya ng kanyang beauty queen sister, “She always encourages us, [her] little sisters, to pursue our dreams, not just with pageantry, but with everything we’re good at.”
