The entire arena praised and applauded Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach as she took her final walk before crowning another queen earlier (January 30) at the 65th Miss Universe competition at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Wearing a sparkling blue ball gown, Pia shined as she walked around the stage and waved before the crowd to give her thanks and bid goodbye to her reign.

“Being Miss Universe has offered me tremendous opportunities to draw attention to the issues close to my heart such as bullying, and HIV and AIDS awareness. On top of my ‘thank you’ list is my mother. I am the woman I am because of the woman you are. To my sister Sarah, you are my rock. Paula, Esther, Shawn, the rest of the MUO team, you are family to me. To my Miss Universe sisters, I’ll see you again soon. To the worldwide Pianatics, salamat! To the next Miss Universe, fasten your seatbelt. At the end of your reign, you’ll have grown in confidence, maturity, and faith. For me, the title was a dream come true, but the work continues. Kababayan, maraming salamat po. Mahal ko kayo. Thank you for everything,” she said.

Right before the competition started, Queen P gave a shout out, “I [would] just like to say a quick thank you for all your love and support for my whole reign as Miss Universe. I’m definitely [going to] miss everybody, but I know you guys will still be there to support me with my future endeavors. Again, maraming salamat po. Thank you very much. You made my reign very memorable.”
