In an interview, Joyce described her relationship with Sam as “nothing special like romantic, but I love him as a friend.”
 
Despite denying the relationship, the two have shared photos of their trip to Palawan, and are continuously being teased by their fellow DJs.

Rumors of their relationship began surfacing when they posted photos together and when BNO co-host Tony Toni jokingly announced their alleged engagement.
