In time for Pride Month, Manila-based YouTuber Sebastian Castro revealed he has been in a relationship with Silang, Cavite Vice Mayor Aidel Paul Belamide for half a year now.

In Sebastian's latest vlog, he shared how their relationship started.

"We met for the first time back in November [2018].

"He sent me a message like in 2017.

"He tells me he watches my vlog and at that time I didn't see the message but there is one message I did see of his which led me to [see all his messages] in the past, he's a little sweetheart," the Peruvian-Japanese American vlogger said.

Sebastian continued, "To make the long story short, he eventually asked me on a date.

"Just a date, nothing exclusive yet, we've got to exclusively dating on December 21, 2018.

"We know that 'cause it was the day of my birthday, we had a trip to Bali.

He, then, pointed out, "[He] was the secret I was hiding behind the camera.

"I teased them to you like last year pa, ngayon ko lang siya ipinakita.

I think it's about time you guys met someone, the man whose been putting a smile on my face for half a year now. ❤️ This is Aidel, or as I prefer to call him Cavi. There are a lot of different ways I could introduce this guy. He's an anthropologist, a potato chip enthusiast, a sucker for rom coms, and yes, the current vice mayor of Silang Cavite. Today happens to be his 32nd birthday, so don't go cheap on the sugar and send him some love. @aidelbelamide

Sebastian and Aidel became boyfriends officially on January 22, 2019 but decided to keep it a secret in public because some family members of Aidel did not approve of their relationship.

"There was just some family members of his that did not like me."

Despite this, Aidel's family invited Sebastian to the politician's surprise birthday party, and there he came out of the closet.

"They made an effort, to be fair, and invited me to his second surprise party that his family is throwing for him.

"It was a big event, there were two hundred guests, may live performance pa, they really made an effort for [Aidel].

"He knew he's gonna come out on that day, it was our agreement, and inevitably what happened is he comes out of the closet in a giant event that his family put together for him."
