Sa interview ni Jessica Soho kay Miss Universe 1994 Sushmita Sen para sa programa nitong Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, isa sa mga napag-usapan ng multi-awarded broadcast journalist at ng beauty queen ay ang winning answer nito sa Miss Universe pageant.
Matatandaang ang tanong noon kay Sushmita ay, "What is the essence of being a woman."
Sinagot ito ng noon ay 18-anyos na dalaga ng: "I think being a woman, by itself, the very fact of being a woman is a gift of God which all of us must appreciate. The origin of a child is a mother, and is a woman, and a woman is one who shares love, and shares and shows the man what love, caring, and sharing is all about. That is the essence of a woman."
Sa gitna ng panayam, tinanong ni Jessica ang beuty queen ng, "How did you come up with that? You were 18 and you came up with a very profound answer to that question?"
Sagot ni Sushmita, "It was not rehearsed, it was not a question, it was not asking what it is to be a woman, what are the great qualities of a woman, it asks the essence of a woman, which goes far deeper than having a great career or doing anything it's less about what a woman can do, and more about what a woman is. And that woman, I think it's a lovely question to ask me, because I think I was knowledgeable at 18. But it's taken me 23 years to really understand that answer. So, today I understand that answer better than when I was 18. It was a beautiful answer.”
