Therese revealed a lot about balancing her studies with work, adjusting her acting style as she transitioned from film to TV, and how she handles the different facets of her projects.

What was apparent about the interview was that despite the mixed feedback about her portrayal on Inagaw Na Bituin, Therese remains steadfast in going after her passion for performing.

“Not everyone will love you and also not everyone will hate you. It's just a matter of choosing your battles,” she stated, sharing the best advice she got about dealing with detractors.

Therese, in truth, doesn't need to prove anything to her bashers as she has amassed a lot of recognition from local and international festivals for her powerful performances. However, the young Kapuso star reminds herself not to be complacent and delinquent in doing her work.

She said, “I wouldn't want the award for me to be parang a symbol of being lazy na parang, 'Okay may award na ako, pwede na ako magtamad-tamaran, hindi ko na pag-aaralan 'yung craft ko, or lumaki 'yung ulo ko.'”

Her faith in the role of an actor in storytelling helps her focus on what needs to be done.

“As a storyteller of both film and TV, it's a mission for us to let our audience feel our character, not because of the story but because of what the character wants, 'yung advocacy niya, 'yung views niya, opinions niya. At bilang storyteller, kami rin 'yung boses ng mga unsung… the voices that aren't heard, stories that are too harsh usually, and 'yun nga, mapamulat 'yung audience sa mga issue na hindi nata-tackle,” Therese added.
