Tom Rodriquez, ayaw gumamit ng body double kahit na maraming stunts at makakatotohanang pagsabok ang nagaganap sa taping ng 'The Cure.'

Kapuso leading man Tom Rodriguez stars in the the upcoming Primetime drama thriller The Cure opposite leading lady and Ultimate Star Jennylyn Mercado.

The actor, who’s portraying Greg Salvador, said genuine emotions were taped since real explosives were used on set while filming their scenes.

“Even [on] set, lahat ng mga explosions [ay] totoo kaya ang sarap ‘pag sumasabog na totoo talaga. Hindi mo kailangan i-arte [kasi] ramdam mo,” he told Cata Tibayan in Balitanghali.

Although his role requires physically demanding moves, Tom enjoyed taping for his character and refuses to have a stunt double for his action scenes.

He is also impressed with his co-star’s professionalism, and has developed a friendship outside of work.

The Cure is set to premiere on GMA Telebabad on April 30 (Monday) after 24 Oras.
