On September 3, online music show Spotlight Music Sessions featured singer-songwriter Antoinette Bernal Brillantes a.k.a Toni B, as she performed live her own song "Electrified."

Even though she didn't grow up in the Philippines, Toni B is no stranger to the local music scene, having performed in local watering holes like SaGuijo and in big festivals like Fete de la Musique PH.

"Amongst the total chaos we live in today, it feels easier to let our circuits go cold. But we're in this together. It is up to us to be brave, and to be a beacon of light for both ourselves and the fellow beings that are living this life with us. Don't you ever forget that somewhere out there, you are electrifying someone," said Toni B as she reflects on the meaning behind her song.

"I hope you enjoy my song because it is a gift that came from a heart that carried too many aches. I'm letting go because now I see that I am more than the sum of my parts. Tell me, who electrifies you?" wrote Toni B on Facebook.

Toni B grew up classically trained in violin, but ended up teaching herself the guitar, the viola, and the ukulele.
