Yesterday afternoon (October 8), Amalia was laid to rest at Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City.
On October 5th, Philippine cinema lost one of its greats as actress Amalia Fuentes died at the age of 79.
Yesterday afternoon, Amalia was laid to rest at Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City.
In the wake of her passing, celebrities and friends have all paid tribute to Fuentes. Among them were members of her family to whom many are actors.
Aga Muhlach mourns the death of aunt Amalia Fuentes
Before the ceremony, an emotional Alexander Muhlach was seen and shared with the attendees the days he spent time with his sister.
“I owe her so much,” he said.
“Masakit sa kalooban ko na mawala siya…That's how I love her so much.”
Similarly, Amalia's dear friend Boots Anson-Roa confessed feeling a deep burden in her heart knowing she lost a friend.
“Nakakalungkot cause we lost a friend.
“I had the good fortune with working with Amalia in a few films but more than the film experience, it was really the friendship [that resonated].”
