National Director of Miss World Philippines Cory Quirino declared that she is excited for a Filipina to take home the much coveted international crown again.
“This is year six for Miss World Philippines and we are after the crown of Miss World again. Somebody asked me before when Megan Young won in 2013, ‘Ms. Cory, anong mangyayari ngayon sa Miss World Philippines ngayong nanalo na si Megan Young?’ Ang sagot ko po ay ‘Syempre, mananalo ulit ang Pilipinas,” she declared.
The beauty icon looks forward to finding the woman who embodies the qualities of a queen.
“We reiterate our commitment to finding that one Filipina who will wear the crown of Miss World Philippines and represent our country with dignity, with pride and with great self-confidence and love for our country,” she added.
She emphasized that the task of finding the next deserving titleholder, although rigorous, is something she and her team are fully committed to.
“This is the kind of bravado and enthusiasm and commitment and dedication we have in Miss World Philippines… We will not fail you on this. This is our commitment to you [and] I’d like also for you to know that our ladies this year are super committed and super talented,” she concluded.
