Centella Asiatica skincare

Save your dry, irritated, and blemished skin with Centella Asiatica or Cica with these beauty products.

Centella Asiatica is found in most skin care products these days. From creams to toners, from facial wash to mists, beauty brands have infused their products with this new breakthrough ingredient when it comes to skin care.

According to self.com, Centella Asiatica is also known as Gotu Kola and it is a leafy plant found in parts of China, Japan, India, Australia, and the U.S. It is said that Centella Asiatica has already been used in traditional medicine and was sold for decades even before most beauty brands started using this as a skin-saving ingredient.

Meanwhile, health.com called Centella Asiatica a "skin saver" in an article published last January. Centella Asiatica, or cica for short, is best known for its anti-inflammatory properties.

Dr. Shari Marchbein, MD, a dermatologist from New York said, "The anti-inflammatory properties increase hydration and help soothe and repair dry, red, irritated skin."

These days, people are learning and seeing the good effects of Centella Asiatica which is why many brands have tried to incorporate this ingredient into their skin care products.

Here are some examples of skin care products if you want to test out the new must-have ingredient in beauty products.
