Sparkle artist Michelle Dee recently won Miss Universe Philippines 2023 but before that, she was part of the recently finished historical fantasy series Mga Lihim ni Urduja. Now that she will be getting ready to compete in Miss Universe in El Salvador in eight months, the Kapuso actress revealed her plans for her acting career.

In her interview with Mel Tiangco and Vicky Morales on 24 Oras on Monday, May 15, Michelle said that she would like to continue with her acting career.

“Tapos na rin po ang pandemic so kung kayang sabayin ang mga guestings, or short shows lang, gagawin ko naman po,” she said.

She added, “I'm very passionate about my acting career and the organization recognizes that I was an actress before I was a beauty queen.”

She clarified, however, that her priority is becoming the next Miss Universe.

“Pero hangga't kaya, we still have eight months before the pageant and there's still a lot of time so let's just keep on grinding, keep on working,” she said.

“I love waking up and working every day kaya I'll just fill up my schedule to make sure that I make the most out of the time that I have,” she continued.

She then expressed her gratitude to GMA Network for always supporting her dream.

“This is my third pageant so medyo sanay na po ang Sparkle management sa akin, and I have nothing but full gratitude that they have always supported my dreams and my aspirations,” she said.

In a previous interview on the GMA Regional TV morning show Mornings with GMA Regional TV, Michelle also expressed how grateful she is to the network for allowing her to pursue her dreams, both in acting and in pageantry.

She was still doing tapings for the primetime series when she restarted her Miss Universe journey which was why she was asked how she can keep up with both. She then answered, “Well, teamwork makes the dream work. Sobrang grateful po ako sa GMA na sobrang supportive sila sa dreams ko.”

She added, “Hindi naman ako binibigyan ng problema, sobrang supportive lang po ng GMA talaga.”
