Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards became candid when he revealed that he was scared to do another movie after the successful run of Hello, Love, Goodbye, which is currently the highest-grossing Filipino film.
During Alden and Julia Montes's guesting on GMA News' podcast Updated with Nelson Canlas, Alden talked about his return to the big screen after four years.
"I was fearful coming from the success of Hello, Love, Goodbye. Siyempre, it broke records and at the same time, parang nakakatakot, parang ano pa 'yung puwede mong gawin on top of that?" he said.
"Natakot po ako to accept projects in terms of movies kasi lalo pa't 'yung pagtingin ko sa details ng gagawin projects is medyo, of course, tumaas din 'yung standards ko when it comes to looking into materials and 'yung project mismo na gagawin."
Alden's actor self was hungry to do a movie, and he didn't let his fear get in the way as he would be back on the big screen in October for Five Breakups and a Romance.
"Four years is no joke. Ang haba na niya and ang nagutom na is 'yung actor side ko," he added.
"Will I limit myself because of fear? Ito talagang first namin ni Jules na movie which is Five Breakups and a Romance, feeling ko divine intervention. Sa lahat naman siguro ng bago, sa lahat ng something na hindi natin naiintindihan or hindi pa natin alam, there's always fear into the unknown.
"But as you go along the process, you have to enjoy it kasi in that way, you get to discover something new about yourself.
"Ang dami kong na-discover on- and off-cam."
