Matt Lozano: "Gusto ko talaga 'yung ganito, 'yung pinupukpok ako ng mga ganitong roles.''
Sparkle actor and singer Matt Lozano loves to challenge himself by portraying off beat roles.
In fact, in a short span of time doing Bubble Gang, Matt has portrayed a multitude of characters from different sketches.
Back in October 2023, it was officially announced that Matt Lozano is now a mainstay in the flagship Kapuso gag show. Now, he portrays a delivery rider named Apol, who has the power to grant wishes in the two-part summer special of Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko titled "Smart Fam."
In an interview with GMANetwork.com, Matt explained that by doing these kind of characters, he gains more confidence and it will be easier for him to do a drama project.
“Sobrang happy ako kapag may mga ganitong mga projects, 'pag may mga ganitong roles. Kasi, the more na ginagawa ko 'yung mga ganitong type of roles, the more na nakilala ko 'yung instrumento and mas nakakapasok ako dun sa character ko agad. “ Matt shared.
“So, napaka-importante sa akin ng mga ganitong roles, kasi pagdating naman sa drama mas ramdam ko na mas maluwag na 'yung katawan ko. Mas, madali sa akin maka-arte, so gusto ko talaga 'yung ganito, 'yung pinupukpok ako ng mga ganitong roles, kasi hindi naman siya normal na ginagawa sa buhay.”
