After an extensive nationwide search, Universal Pictures Philippines has finally selected 30 of the country's best singers to record a Filipino version of the iconic song "Defying Gravity" from Wicked.

The special event, titled Awiting Wicked, was held as part of the celebration surrounding the release of the highly anticipated Wicked film this November. The musical's lead roles will be portrayed by pop superstar Ariana Grande and Grammy Award-winning artist Cynthia Erivo.

In an exclusive interview with Unang Hirit host Lyn Ching, both Ariana and Cynthia expressed their admiration for Filipino talent and their passion for singing.
