Will Ashley and Benedix Ramos singing ang hirap mangarap

The stars of the sequel 'Bar Boys: After School', Will Ashley and Benedix Ramos, offer a song for all Filipino workers.

In an Instagram post, Sparkle artist Will Ashley shared a video, along with his co-star in the film Bar Boys: After School, Benedix Ramos, singing the song "Ang Hirap Mangarap" from Bar Boys: A New Musical.

This song became a part of their effort to convey the message of their film for the upcoming 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival. It was written by Pat Valera and had music composed by Myke Salomon.

Will, in his caption, also shared the message of the song.

“Isang awit para sa mga manggagawang Pinoy na nagbabanat buto at lumalaban araw-araw para kanilang pangarap. Kahit gaano kabulok ang sistema, huwag mawawalan ng pag-asa,” Will wrote in the caption.

The beginning of the video also features Will's dedication of the song: “Itong kantang 'to ay para sa mga manggagawang Pilipino na pasan ang bigat ng bulok na sistema. Pero lumalaban pa rin. Kahit mahirap mangarap.”

On the other hand, it can be recalled that Benedix sang this song when he played the character of Carlo Aquino, 'Erik Vicencio,' in the film's musical adaptation.

Benedix also commented on this post from Will to express his sentiments regarding the message of the song.

“May singil ang pangarap, pero LALABAN!” said Benedix in his comment.

Many were touched and amazed by the duet of the two actors from the film. Fans left beautiful comments on the post; even the director, Kip Oebanda, and their co-star, Sassa Gurl.

“Kainis. Ang galing,” Kip said in his comment.

“Galingg,” Sassa commented.
