
Will Ashley added another milestone to his growing career after winning the Best Supporting Actor award at the 9th Entertainment Editors' Choice (The Eddys) Awards of the Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd).
The awarding ceremony was held on Sunday, July 5, at the Ceremonial Hall of Newport World Resorts, where Will was recognized for his performance in Bar Boys: After School. He shared the honor with Rico Blanco, who also received the Best Supporting Actor award for Manila's Finest.
Celebrating the achievement on Instagram, Will expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported the film.
"For BarBoys, for everyone who believed, thank you!"
Meanwhile, Rochelle Pangilinan was named Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Child No. 82.
On Instagram, Rochelle shared her excitement over the recognition.
"OMG! Nanalo ako!"
She added, "Napakalaking karangalan na manalo ng BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS sa The 9th Eddys Entertainment Editors' Choice," as she congratulated her fellow nominees and thanked the Child No. 82 family.
Also recognized during the ceremony was former GMA Showbiz reporter Lhar Santiago, who received the Manny Pichel Award.
Other Kapuso stars nominated at this year's Eddys included Dingdong Dantes for Only We Know and Barbie Forteza for Kontrabida Academy.
Organized by the Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors, The Eddys honors excellence and outstanding achievements in Philippine cinema. Nominees are selected by a panel of entertainment editors and journalists from leading broadsheets, tabloids, and online news organizations across the country.
