Will Ashley has started filming the upcoming horror movie 'Poon' directed by acclaimed filmmaker Adolfo Alix Jr.
Sparkle star Will Ashley has begun filming his newest project, the horror film Poon, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Adolfo Alix Jr.
On Facebook, Alix posted behind-the-scenes snaps from the set, showing Ashley with fellow Sparkle actor Kelvin Miranda, veteran screen icon Gina Pareño, and Joao Constancia.
“Back on the set with Kelvin Miranda, Will Ashley, Joao Constancia and Ms. Gina Pareño,” the filmmaker wrote.
The film has been stirring excitement since 2023, when it was revealed that Ashley would be part of the cast along with Kelvin Miranda, Martin del Rosario, and Althea Ablan.
With Alix leading the project and a cast that mixes seasoned artists and fresh young talents, Poon promises to deliver a gripping new addition to local horror cinema.
Outside of Poon, Will is keeping busy with other projects. He's set to star in Bar Boys: After School as well as the romantic film Love You So Bad with Bianca De Vera and Dustin Yu.
On TV, Ashley currently plays an undercover cop in Sanggang-Dikit FR.
