Despite a string of projects and rising popularity, Kapuso actor Will Ashley remains firm in his decision to keep his personal life private
Will Ashley shared that he maintains his personal life in private because of the many challenges he has faced while growing up in the spotlight of show business.
In an interview with GMA Integrated News, the Love You So Bad and Bar Boys: After School star, explained, "Madaming pwedeng maibato sa 'yo, maraming pwedeng masabi sa 'yo, magamit sa 'yo para siraan ka."
He also mentioned that he has become more cautious about sharing personal matters, choosing to open up only to a select group of people close to him.
“Nangyari siya sa akin before kaya parang ngayon mas pinipili kong mag-open up sa mga taong close ko lang talaga,” Will explained.
The Kapuso actor believes that keeping these two worlds apart is a healthier approach, ensuring a clear line between his career as an actor and his private life.
“Feeling ko mas healthy siya para sa akin. Kumbaga may buhay ako dito [showbiz], may buhay ako dito [personal life],” he said.
Despite this, Will emphasized that he still faces the public with complete sincerity and dedication.
However, he clarified that he remains open to sharing more of himself once he finds a meaningful connection with someone. He also noted that he has managed to build genuine friendships within the industry.
“It's just mayroon lang talaga akong wall sa sarili ko. Kung magiging palagay naman 'yung loob ko sa 'yo why not, 'di ba? Nakahanap naman po ako ng totoong kaibigan dito sa industriya,” explained Will.
Currently, Will is juggling promotions for his MMFF projects, including Love You So Bad of GMA Pictures, Star Cinema, and Regal Entertainment; and the highly anticipated sequel, Bar Boys: After School.
