Growing up with a celebrity mom, it won't be a surprise if Yasmien Kurdi's daughter, Ayesha, will follow in her footsteps. But is that what the actress wants for her daughter?

In an interview on the online show Kalurks with Boobay and Pepita Curtis, Yasmien admitted that she will support her daughter in whatever she wants to do, even when she chooses to be part of showbiz, too.

“Sa 'kin, kahit ano. Kung gusto niya mag artista, ok lang din naman, susuportahan ko siya,” she said.

She also added that she won't restrict her daughter to do what she wants especially if it's something that will make her happy.

“Kailangan talaga masaya ka, e, para ma-enjoy mo yung buhay mo,” she added.

When asked why she would be open to Ayesha going into showbiz, Yasmien answered “Tayo rin mismo, bilang tao, ayaw rin naman natin gawin ang isang bagay na hindi ka masaya kasi hindi ka rin naman tatagal.”

“Oo, kumikita ka, malaki yung kinikita mo, pero hindi ka naman masaya. So bakit mo gagawin?” she added.

The actress also reiterates the importance of communication with kids, saying that it's one way for parents to know how they can help their kids.

Meanwhile, Ayesha just turned 10 on November 22, and Yasmien could not help but express how much she loves her daughter.

“Words are not sufficient to put across my feelings and love for you. I shall always protect you and be there for you,” she wrote on her Instagram post dedicated to her daughter.

Aside from the possibility of being a celebritiy, Yasmien has also showed Ayesha's potential surfing skills. riding the waves on a surfboard. The StarStruck alumna expressed amazement at how quickly her daughter picked up the skills to surf and stand on the board after three days.

In another post, the Kapuso star showed off the piano skills of Ayesha, as well as her singing skills while playing the instruments.
