Chinese singer Winwin is officially leaving NCT and SM Entertainment after more than a decade with the agency,

Winwin has officially parted ways with NCT and SM Entertainment.

The agency announced on Wednesday that it had mutually agreed to end the Chinese singer's exclusive contract following discussions with the artist. The contract will officially conclude on July 9, 2026.

"As of July 9, 2026, after thorough discussions with our artist Winwin, we have agreed to conclude his exclusive contract," SM Entertainment said in a notice posted on the fan community platform Weverse.

With the end of his contract, Winwin will also wrap up his activities as a member of NCT, including its Chinese sub-unit WayV.

"We thank Winwin for being with us for over 10 years since his trainee days and will support his future as he embarks on a new journey," the agency added

Winwin also shared his message to fans through his social media, in Korean.

He wrote, "Hello. This is Winwin.

"From 2016 to 2026, before I knew it, 10 years had passed so quickly. As I look back on the past decade, I wanted to write these words with sincerity.

"Starting as a trainee, then becoming a member of NCT 127 and later WayV, I am truly grateful that over the past 10 years I was able to meet so many people and build precious connections.

"Sometimes when I look through photos from years ago, each picture brings back the stories behind it and revives countless memories. Looking back, there were difficult and exhausting moments, as well as days when I faced setbacks and adversity. But more than anything else, what remains in my heart are the moments filled with happiness, gratitude, and emotion."

Winwin debuted as part of NCT in 2016 and later joined WayV when the China-based unit was launched in 2019. He was also a member of NCT 127 during the early years of the group's promotions.

His departure makes him the latest NCT member to leave SM Entertainment as he begins the next chapter of his career.
