Isang makabuluhang mensahe ang hatid ni actress and beauty queen Winwyn Marquez para sa lahat ng kababaihan ngayong Women's Month.

Sa kanyang Instagram account, nagbahagi niya ng isang black and white photo nila ng anak na si Luna, kasama ang isang mahabang caption.

"I know it's Women's Month, but women deserve to be celebrated everyday," panimula ni Winwyn sa kanyang post.

"For all women.. mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, and every woman just doing her best every day. We all carry different stories of success and struggles, and that alone is worth celebrating," pagpapatuloy niya.

May paalala din siya tungkol sa pagrespeto sa mga babae, lalo na at nagiging halimbawa ang asal at kilos ng mga nakakatanda at nasa posisyon para sa susunod na henerasyon.

"But maybe this month is also reminder that what needs to change isn't women.. it's how quick some people can be to comment or judge without thinking.

"I always think about the world we're raising our children in. Hopefully one where women are met with more respect.

"For all women, and for the little ones watching us," mensahe niya.

Naging hot issue sa bansa ngayong Women's Month ang naging mga komento ni Quezon City Fourth District Representative Bong Suntay tungkol sa aktres na si Anne Curtis.

Ginamit kasi ng congressman na halimbawa ang "desire" niya para sa aktres sa kanyang "imagination" sa hearing sa House Committee on Justice para kontrahin ang ikatlong impeachment complaint laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte.

Binasag ni Anne ang katahimikan at sinabing hindi tatanggapin ang "non-apology" ng pulitiko.

Samantala, bahagi si Winwyn ng primetime action-drama series na Never Say Die kung saan gumaganap siya bilang leader ng isang drug syndicate.

Abangan siya dito mula Monday to Friday, 8:50 p.m. sa GMA Prime. May same-day replay ito sa GTV tuwing 10:30 p.m.
