Winwyn Marquez denounces irresponsible firearm use; says it's important to get proper training.
Kapuso actress Winwyn Marquez is sharing a few lessons she learned at the Philippine Navy Naval Force as she progresses with her military training under the marines.
On Instagram, the trainee posted a photo of herself replenishing her magazine and said that its important to know the basics of gun safety by heart.
“We are strongly discouraged from playing or toying with firearms because they are inherently dangerous. They must always be stored carefully and handled with care,” she said.
“And finally, don't even think that owning or carrying a gun is 'nakaka-cool or astig ako if I have one.'
"'Wag kang stupid, 'wag kang feeling action star. Mag training ka muna.”
Winwyn's reminder resonated with other reservists from all over the country including one from Cagayan who said she's a fan of the former beauty queen.
“Hi, ma'am. Isa din po akong Reservist sa Philippine Navy Reserve Force. I belong din po sa BCMC Class 01-20 here in Cayagan po. Please keep on inspiring us po. God bless!”
Winwyn started her military training last August 1 and was voted as president of her class.
