Actress and Miss Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 Winwyn Marquez has a message for this celebration of Women's Month.
Every time the month of March arrives, the whole world honors the strength of women through the celebration of International Women's Month.
Actress and Miss Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 Teresita Ssen Marquez, better known as “Winwyn,” shared a touching, brief reflection regarding this month-long celebration for women.
In her Instagram post, Winwyn shared a message accompanied by a photo of herself and her daughter, Luna Teresita.
Winwyn expressed that women deserve to be celebrated not only during the month of March, but also every day for their sacrifices.
“I know it's Women's Month, but women deserve to be celebrated everyday,” Winwyn wrote in the caption.
Winwyn addressed all types of women, stating that everyone continues to give their best every day despite the various challenges they go through; therefore, everyone deserves to be celebrated.
“For all women.. mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, and every woman just doing her best every day. We all carry different stories of success and struggles, and that alone is worth celebrating,” she wrote.
She also didn't shy away from the social pressures women face, highlighting that the burden of change shouldn't rest on women themselves, but on a society that is often too quick to judge.
“But maybe this month is also a reminder that what needs to change isn't women.. it's how quick some people can be to comment or judge without thinking,” Winwyn expressed.
Winwyn highlighted the importance of shaping a world where women are met with respect rather than judgment, especially for the sake of the children watching today.
“I always think about the world we're raising our children in. Hopefully one where women are met with more respect,” she said.
She continued, “For all women, and for the little ones watching us.”
Winwyn is a mother to her daughter, Luna Teresita, with her non-showbiz partner.
Recently, Winwyn returned to the pageant stage by competing in Miss Universe Philippines 2025, where she was crowned as the Miss Universe Philippines first runner-up.
