Xian Lim recently embraced another year of life with gratitude and self-reflection.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, the actor shared a video of himself flying a plane as a commercial pilot, along with a reflective birthday message.

"This past year has taught me one of the most important lessons I've learned so far," he began.

"Life is all about finding balance and finding your center. It's about the daily decisions to keep working on yourself," he shared.

Xian revealed that the quote, "Don't chase butterflies. Build a beautiful garden, and the butterflies will come," has become a reminder of how he wants to live his life.

He added, "I just want to focus on becoming a better person each day."

The actor-pilot admitted that he is still a "work in progress," adding that he believes he always will be.

"But I've realized that life isn't about landing the next job, reaching a certain number of 'likes'/followers, or hitting another milestone. Those things come and go," he continued.

"What matters most is continuing the search for your purpose. Discovering why you were placed in this world and doing your best to live that out every single day."

Toward the end of his post, Xian celebrated another year of "learning, growing, staying curious, and hopefully becoming a little kinder, a little wiser, and a little more useful than I was yesterday."

"Thank you for all the birthday greetings. It means a lot!" he concluded.

Xian also recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Production (ABMP) from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) through its Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP).
