From acting to directing to painting and now to showcasing his piano skills, Xian Lim continues to prove he is a man of many talents.
The Kapuso star amazed his fans and followers when he shared on Instagram a clip of him playing Mozart's “Turkish March” or “Rondo Alla Turca” on a piano, under the baton of renowned Filipino conductor Gerard Salonga.
“It was an honor to play the piano under the baton of Mr. Gerard Salonga,” Xian expressed.
In the caption, Xian shared how the classical piece was among the firsts his mom Mary Anne Lim taught him when he was young.
“She offered me ice cream and chocolates for every 30 minutes of practice,” he said.
Xian successfully finished playing the classical piece and received a round of applause after.
His Love. Die. Repeat co-stars Jennylyn Mercado and Valeen Montenegro also couldn't help but pen their praises on his video.
Meanwhile, Xian accompanied the video with an inspirational message of trusting the process and continuing on.
“There will be lots of times where you just feel off and nothing seems to go right. Don't worry. It's okay to feel down from time to time. Just trust the process. Baby steps towards every goal. Smile. Embrace discomfort,” he wrote in the video.
Xian added, “Be prepared to fail. Do your best and know that everything will fall into place.”
The actor also quoted several sayings about taking risks, not being afraid to fail, and to stop worrying about what others think.
“My goal is to arrive at the end in harmony with myself, my loved ones, and my conscience. I thought I had two lives, but it turned out to be just one, and you have to live it with dignity,” he concluded.
Xian launched his own podcast, “The Experience Life Podcast with Xian Lim,” in December last year.
