The cover of MEGA Magazine’s July 2012 issue features four of the most promising young stars in the industry today. Dubbed as “GMA’s new breed of rising talents”, Alden Richards, Bela Padilla, Kris Bernal, and Sarah Lahbati are ready to take the center stage and make a name for themselves.
Currently starring as the very charming Tisoy in GMA Telebabad’s
One True Love, Alden Richards was first seen in
Alakdana as one of Louise delos Reyes’ leading men. Their on-screen chemistry attracted fans, and they were soon cast in the Yam Laranas horror film
The Road, where Alden’s portrayal of a disturbed teenager got the attention of the press and award-giving bodies. Before
One True Love, he was Dingdong Dantes’ younger brother in
My Beloved.
She might be stereotyped as a kontrabida for her roles in
Endless Love and
Hiram na Puso, but Bela Padilla is also open to playing the protagonist in her future projects. The 21-year old Kapuso actress was recently hailed as one of FHM’s
100 Sexiest Women of the World, landing in the eighth spot.
Kris Bernal has gone a long way from her
Starstruck 4 days, where she won the Ultimate Love Team award. From there, she appeared in various television shows and movies, including
Koreana,
Time of My Life, and
Hiram na Puso, where she played the lead roles. Now that
Hiram na Puso has ended, fans are eager to see her work again with former love-team partner Aljur Abrenica in another TV project.
Although fairly new in the industry, Filipino-Moroccan and
Starstruck V Ultimate Female Survivor Sarah Lahbati has proven that she has what it takes to get into different acting genres. Before bagging the role of Graciela Montes in
Makapiling Kang Muli opposite Richard Gutierrez, Sarah played the role of Kara
in Ruben Marcelino’s Kokak and was Dennis Trillo’s fiancée Queen in
Boy Pick Up The Movie.
