Well, we can all learn a thing or two from former child star Xyriel Manabat's attitude when it comes to approaching hustle culture.

In her guest appearance on Your Honor, Xyriel, who started going to auditions at age four, shared with Chariz Solomon and Buboy Villar that she was already determined to enter show business at a young age. She even competed in the reality talent search Star Circle Quest: Search for the Next Kiddie Idol, where she placed third runner-up.

“Pero four po talagang audition, iba't ibang buildings, sinasalihan, sabak namin 'yan ni Mama. Iba't ibang mga malls sinasalihan ko, fashion show gusto ko. Tapos, umiiyak ako at nagdadabog ako pag ayaw nila. Ako talaga 'yung may gusto,” the Kapamilya talent recalled.

Explaining her go-getter attitude and how she thrives as a self-confessed workaholic, Xyriel told the hosts of Your Honor why staying busy fuels her even more.

She stated, “Aminado ako, at 'yun din 'yung sinasabi ng lahat ng tao sa paligid ko — OA ako magtrabaho. Sobrang workaholic ko po.”

“As in, 'yung iba sila 'yung uma-ano sa akin, 'Uy, magpahinga ka naman.'”

“Kasi sa akin po, parang natutuwa ako. Nafu-fuel ako lalo 'pag may mga trabaho. And I really take it as a blessing, so every time po na may pumapasok, I really don't say no sa kahit anong work.”

Xyriel continued, “Yung tipong schedule na lang 'yung magiging excuse para hindi matuloy ang isang work. Pero hindi po ako magno-no sa mga work na alam ko pong kaya ko at alam ko pong wala namang mali doon sa work na ino-offer. Tapos at the same time, nage-enjoy po ako. Parang 'yun 'yung way ko para hindi rin ako ma-burn out. And at the same time, it's rewarding as well — parang may pinupuntahan 'yung pagod ko.”

Xyriel Manabat is part of the star-studded cast of The Secrets of Hotel 88, which premieres on March 2 on GMA Prime at 9:35 p.m.
