Kapuso actress Yasmien Kurdi and her daughter Raya Layla won hearts as they showed off their dance skills.
On her Instagram account, Yasmien posted a short video of herself and her toddler daughter dancing to the viral hit "Hawak Mo Ang Beat."
The celebrity mom clearly knew all the moves while Raya Layla did her best to copy her.
In another video, the mother and daughter duo continued dancing side by side.
Yasmien still followed the dance steps while Raya Layla moved to the beat.
The song "Hawak Mo Ang Beat" is the center of a controversy as listeners have alleged that it was created using generative artificial intelligence or AI.
A French national living the Philippines named Sylvain Hernandez or DJ Mogo recently came forward and claimed that he is the composer of the song.
He insists that the song was not made with AI.
"No any part of the song was generated by AI. Authentic, 100 percent made with my hands and my love for the Philippines. I just want people to focus on the music itself. If you like the beat and the energy, then tara, let's dance on it. Let's enjoy it," he said in an interview.
However, many netizens are still unconvinced by his claims.
Meanwhile, SB19's Pablo expressed his opinion of the use of generative AI in music.
"I think AI is a very powerful tool. Ako personally, strong believer po ako ng innovation. I think it's really important. But siguro po, not at the expense na ninanakaw na 'yung identity ng mga artists, 'yung creative rights," he said during the press conference of SB19's new album Wakas at Simula.
"Dapat 'yung mga artist has the sole control if gusto nilang ipagamit 'yung identity nila or 'yung creative outputs nila rito sa mga ganitong klaseng bagay," he added.

The Filipino Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers, Inc. or FILSCAP also sent a reminder for those who use AI in producing music.
"Users who are using these tools to create generative AI music should do that responsibly and make sure that the work that they are using is actually licensed work," says FILSCAP General Counsel Atty. Ivan Viktor Mendez.
