Kapuso actor Yasser Marta was very happy to meet mountaineer Miguel Mapalad, one of the three Filipinos who recently reached the summit of Mt. Everest.

Yasser is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hiking, trekking, and mountain climbing.

According to the actor, Miguel and his recent feat in Mt. Everest serves as inspiration for him.

"Honored to meet Everest summiteer @miguelmapalad a true inspiration. Hoping to join him on future climbs and chase higher dreams, one peak at a time.," Yasser wrote on Instagram as he shared a photo of him and Miguel together.

Yasser recently trekked across Benguet, Ilocos Sur, and La Union as he participated in the gruelling Kibungan Cross Country.

Prior to this, he hiked up to Mt. Talamitam in Batangas with his celebrity friends Arra San Agustin, Dasuri Choi, and Kimpoy Feliciano.

Aside from Yasser, a lot of of his celebrity peers are getting into hiking as a hobby.

Beauty queen and actress Sophia Senoron also enjoyed her first hike this year and is hoping to experience more of them in the future.
