YG Entertainment has announced that their newest boy group Treasure will debut in July.
The 12-member group, composed of Korean and Japanese members, is a product of survival reality show YG Treasure Box which aired from 2018 to 2019.
Originally called Treasure 13, the group was set to promote with two separate sub-units, namely Treasure and Magnum.
However, it was announced last January that member Ha Yoon Bin departed the group and the company. As a result, the sub-units were merged and reorganized into 12-member group Treasure.
The group's debut has been pushed back a couple of times due to scandals faced by YG Entertainment which ultimately lead to founder and producer Yang Hyun Suk to stepping down from the company.
Prior to their debut, the boys of Treasure have been very active in their YouTube account sharing trivia about themselves, doing song covers, and various dances.
Watch them dance to "Going Crazy," the theme song of YG Treasure Box.
YG Entertainment is the label behind successful K-pop acts like Big Bang, 2ne1, Winner, Blackpink, and many others.
