John Wick fans have a chance to re-experience the iconic first movie of the film series and simultaneously help out furloughed movie theater workers, through the fundraising livestream called #LionsgateLIVE: A Night at the Movies.
Lionsgate has partnered with Fandango for the said livestream to raise funds for the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation, an organization currently extending financial aid to theater employees who are temporarily unemployed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
They have previously livestreamed three of their movies, namely La La Land, Dirty Dancing, and The Hunger Games. John Wick will be the fourth and last film to be shown in the fundraising effort.
Actress Jamie Lee Curtis will be hosting the livestream and John Wick stars Keanu Reeves and Halle Berry will be joining her in the intro.
The livestream is scheduled on May 8, 6 PM PT/9PM ET. In the Philippines, that would be May 9, Saturday, at 9 AM.
