Filipino YouTube sensation Zendee Rose Tenerefe sang Flashlight with popular English singer Jessie J through a music-making app “Smule.”

The music video is posted on Zendee’s Facebook account and now has almost 2 million views since June 3.

“Si Jessie J parang gumawa siya ng pre-recorded para maka-duet niya ang fans niya so ayon ti-nry ko din po siya. Amazing lang kasi parang mina-match 'yung boses namin ni Jessie J na bagay daw po kaming i-blend,” she said in Nelson Canlas’ report on 24 Oras Weekend.

The 23-year-old singer first gained popularity when a video of her singing a karaoke version of Whitney Houston’s I Will Always Love You in a mall went viral on social media. She became known as the “Random Girl of SM Megamall” and later became a talent of Warner Music Philippines.

Different TV shows began to request her appearance, but it was American TV Host Ellen DeGeneres’ invite on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that gave her global exposure. She had also done an opening act in one of American singer-songwriter Jason Mraz’s concert.

Zendee released her first album I believe in 2013 and has performed in different venues in Guam and the Philippines.

The Filipina singer is completing her next album, “Ngayon po may ginagawa kaming another album. Sana suportahan niyo po.”
