Sponge Cola debuted the music video for their song "Siguro Nga," which is inspired by South Korean drama Start-Up, particularly one of its characters, "good boy" Han Ji-pyeong. Its lyric video features various footage from Seoul, South Korea that show locations from the drama.
The music video was released on Wednesday, February 10, showing Agassi Ching and Jai Asuncion known to their fans as JaiGa, portraying a couple struggling to adapt with the changes in their relationship.
In the video, Agassi and Jai are a couple torn between breaking up or continuing their relationship. The video is set in a dimly lit karaoke bar where the couple confront their problems. Meanwhile, Sponge Cola is playing their music in separate scenes.
A statement from Sony Music shared by GMA News talked about the music video's premise:
"Separated by their own version of realities, both characters try to move forward with the changes in their respective lives, albeit having a difficulty wiping out their memories together--especially with the song forever binding them in spirit.”
The collaboration started after Agassi and Sponge Cola frontman Yael Yuzon became friends through basketball. Yael has also produced Agassi's song "Jairah," which Agassi wrote for Jai.
"Siguro Nga" was initially released on December 30, 2020.
Agassi and Jai first met through acquaintances in the YouTube community and were introduced on a blind date. Their blind date vlog Hokage Moves Blind Date Challenge (Valentines Special) has gotten over four million YouTube views since it debuted in February 2019.
They announced their relationship in July 2019, after a few months of dating.
