Zack Tabudlo couldn't help but reflect on his own personal journey as a former contestant of The Voice Kids; and how it had come full circle as his mentee, Sofia Mallares, won the singing competition on Sunday, December 14.

"[Eleven] years ago, I stood here… a kid with a dream, as a contestant in this competition and lost. Today, I stand here as a winning coach," the singer-songwriter shared in a Facebook post.

During the live finale of The Voice Kids, Sofia, dubbed "Kween Birit ng Pasig City," was hailed as the grand winner after getting the most number of votes.

The post resonated with netizens as Zack, who had once been in the shoes of aspiring young talents, now celebrated the success of his protégée.

Sofia's victory marked a significant milestone for both her and her coach. It not only highlighted her remarkable talent and growth as a singer but also reflected Zack's journey from an aspiring young artist who didn't win to a mentor shaping the next generation of stars.

With sincere admiration, Coach Zack continued, “Congratulations, Sofia Mallares, The Voice Kids Champion.”

Sofia, the first four-chair turner of the season, had captured the hearts of viewers with her powerful performance of "The Prayer" during the finals, earning her the top spot in the competition.

As the winner of The Voice Kids, Sofia took home PhpP1,000,000 as a cash prize and a recording and management contract with UMG Philippines, Inc.
