During the finale press conference for Zaido: Pulis Pangkalawakan, the stars of the show shared their most memorable moments.
Their days were numbered, but that doesn't mean they weren't going to enjoy the last remaining days they had together. During the finale press conference for Zaido: Pulis Pangkalawakan, the stars of the show shared their most memorable moments. Text by Jason John S. Lim. With Interviews by Alula Love M. Dela Cruz. Photos by Mitch S. Maurico. Fun Times stars "It's been a lot of fun," Tirso Cruz III said of the whole experience, and he seemed to speaking for the cast when he said this. None of them had anything bad to say about their experience working together, of making the show together. Tirso himself considered the whole thing as a joyride, "Of course from Lupin, tumawid ako dito to Ramiro. So it's another challenge kasi evil pa rin siya, pero ibang character." He also added that working with Dennis Trillo and the others was also enjoyable. And that's not mentioning having the chance to work with Lorna Tolentino again. "Hindi na kinu-question 'yun." Kris Bernal will miss her character the most. The usually perky girl turned serious when she shared, "(Dito) ko na-realize na ang hirap palang mag-artista! Tapos 'yung fight scenes, dapat laging may energy." "Tapos, siyempre, 'yung acting skills ko - talagang nahahasa din." Kris added that everything was going so fast she didn't even realize that the show was ending already. Ian de Leon himself shared that though there were times they would go two straight days for taping, "kulitan pa rin. Kahit may pagod, kahit luwa na 'yung mata namin. Sa hirap at sa ginhawa, magkakasama kami." stars This was what set Zaido apart from other shows. The cast didn't just enjoy each others company, they craved it. "Halos lahat naging ka-close ko na," Kris revealed, which LJ Reyes also seconded. LJ added, "first time ko na talagang maging close sa mga kasama ko nang ganoon. Iba eh. Siguro naman kasi, every time na may makakatrabaho ka, you build this certain kind of closeness na katrabaho mo na hindi na matatanggal kahit anong mangyari." LJ's one wish was that their next project would have them all together in one show again. But she knew this was impossible. "Sana magkasama-sama pa rin kami." Aljur Abrenica said that he was very happy for being given the chance to portray a role as big as Cervano. "Talagang masaya dahil kasama ako sa show na ito; na ipinagkatiwala sa akin kahit baguhan ako. Pero, malungkot dahil magkakahiwa-hiwalay na kami." Expect the Unexpected When Dennis Trillo accepted this project, he probably didn't know about the contacts, the rigorous fight scenes and everything else that the role needed from him. But he never regretted taking the role. "'Yung pagpe-play ng Gallian? Ng Blue Zaido? That in itself is a defining moment." Isabel Granada also never expected that her role would become so important to the show. stars Having signed up for a recurring role as the ghost of Commander Zion's (Ian de Leon) wife, Isabel's role was expanded to become a more integral player in the war between the Zaidos and the Kuuma. This new facet of her character opened her to the world of fight scenes. "This was the first time I did a long fight scene on television," Isabel revealed, she said that she had done fight scenes before in movies, but never pure action. But this time, she was able to do real fight scenes as well as scenes with guns. "And I think that's one thing I wouldn't forget. "It's the only chance I get to show myself how I took my martial arts before!" And then, there's the spandex suits. Who would've expended how controversial the spandex suits would be? Lovi Poe divulged that the first thing that pops into her head when the word Zaido is mentioned, are the suits that the Zaidos have to wear. Marky Cielo, on another hand, thought that the one thing he would consider special from the show is getting to handle two badges: "'Yung pangkalawakan, tsaka 'yung pang-Earth." The Beginning of the End "Naiiyak ako!" Paolo Ballesteros chuckled, covering the fact that he really was sad about the show's end. But there is reason to celebrate still, "kasi overall, successful naman 'yung show." stars Like his co-stars, Paolo was very thankful for getting the chance to portray the role he got to play in the show. And also like him, everyone was giving their hundred percent and more for the last days of the show. LJ teased, "Expect nila na talagang ito-todo na namin 'to. Kasi heto na, matatapos na kami. Expect nila 'yung mga twists and turns ng story, mangyayari na." To which Lovi couldn't help but add, "Abangan nila if I'm going to end up with Alexis! We'll find out kung nakalimutan na ni Mona si Alexis." Camaraderie could really be felt during the finale press conference of Zaido: Pulis Pangkalawakan.
